Xiaomi Mi 11T specifications leaked: triple rear camera powered by MediaTek?

Xiaomi and Redmi’s affordable flagships may receive minor improvements.

New information on the speculated Xiaomi Mi 11T and Redmi K40 Ultra has surfaced, revealing information about the phones’ screens, cameras, and processors.

According to the XiaomiUI Telegram channel, the Mi 11T is code-named Amber and has the model number K11R. It will have a 120Hz 20:9 display, which is a step down from the 144Hz display on the Xiaomi Mi 10T series. However, it’s possible that Xiaomi will replace the Mi 10T’s LCD with an OLED panel.

The primary shooter on the Mi 11T could be a 64MP OmniVision sensor. It could be aided by an 8MP Sony IMX355 wide-angle camera and a 3x zoom “telemacro” camera.

Internally, we’re looking at a MediaTek chipset that hasn’t been named. Given that the Mi 10T used the Snapdragon 865 SoC, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Mi 11T also uses MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 1200 processor.

China’s Mi 11T, the Redmi K40 Ultra?

According to the leak, the Mi 11T will also be released in China under the Redmi K40 Ultra brand. This phone, codenamed Agate and model number K11T, may share display characteristics with the Mi 11T. However, it is expected to feature a well-known camera enthusiast. Instead of a 64MP sensor, the K40 Ultra’s main camera could use a 108MP HM2 sensor. The K40 Ultra will reportedly share the Mi 11T’s wide-angle and telemacro shooters, too.

The Snapdragon 888 SoC is used in all of the current Redmi K40 series handsets. This leak, on the other hand, claims that the K40 Ultra will use MediaTek hardware. Since January, speculations about a MediaTek-powered Redmi phone have been circulating.

It’s worth noting that XiaomiUI doesn’t have a perfect track record when it comes to recommendations. It did, however, nail the Redmi Note 8 2021 specifications and provide solid context for the Mi Pad 5 ahead of its introduction. However, we recommend that you take these Mi 11T and K40 Ultra specifications with a grain of salt.

When the Xiaomi Mi 11T and Redmi K40 Ultra will be released is unknown. However, given that the Mi 10T was released in October 2020, we may only be a few months away.
