WORLDS 2021 dethroned T1 as the most viewed Esports Tournament in 2021

The highest event of League of Legends PC, WORLDS 2021, has ended and resulted in Edward Gaming (EDG) becoming the champion in this event. In the five-match match, the defending champion, Damwon Gaming KIA, had to lose to Edward Gaming with a score of 3-2.

The highest tournament from League of Legends PC managed to break the record for the most viewers during the final match. The final match between Damwon Gaming KIA and Edward Gaming itself was watched by 4.017 million viewers and became the tournament with the most spectators at this time.

This is indeed not a surprising thing, because League of Legends is a game that has a lot of fans from all over the world. League of Legends itself is one of the most popular games on the Twitch platform.

Before breaking the overall record, LoL Worlds 2021 had previously secured a peak viewers of 3,540,094 during the T1 match against DWG KIA in the 2021 semifinals.

Until finally, the peak of Worlds 2021 match broke the quite fantastic record as well as broke the largest peak viewers in the history of LoL Worlds which previously stood at 3,882,252 at Worlds 2020.
