The Red Devils are on the hunt for a new coach after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shortly after a 4-1 loss at Watford. This defeat reportedly made the management of Manchester United furious. Within hours, they decided to fire the Norwegian manager.

The now-available former Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane, has long been linked with Old Trafford, but Spanish daily El Partidazo de COPE says Zidane is not interested in managing United.

Despite Emmanuel Petit revealing that his former teammate is studying English, Zizou reportedly doesn’t want to coach United, and his wife, Veronique, doesn’t want to stay in Manchester either.

Meanwhile, Leicester City coach, Brendan Rogers, has dismissed rumors that he will take over the helm of Ole at Old Trafford.

Reporting from Sky Sports, Brendan Rodgers attended a press conference session ahead of his team which will face Chelsea on Saturday (20/11). Rodgers was also asked about him who is rumored to be going to Manchester United.

“There are two things, first it is a disrespectful question because Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still sitting in the Manchester United manager’s chair. He is a great man,” he said.

“Secondly, it is an unnatural question. Obviously, I am still at Leicester City. I am proud of this club and have the full support of the players and the club,” he added.

Current Paris Saint Germain manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is United’s main target and could move to Manchester, either soon or at the end of the season.

According to talkSPORT, Sir Alex Ferguson immediately led the project to bring Pochettino to Old Trafford. However, the club hierarchy is reportedly also considering signing him as the new coach next summer.

The last option currently appearing in the MU coach hunt is Ajax Amsterdam manager, Eric Ten Hag. Manchester United have reportedly long admired Ten Hag because he has managed to resurrect Ajax and made them a giant killer in Europe.

Manchester United’s management is reportedly now in contact with Ajax and the manager. They hope to secure the services of the manager in the near future.

However, there is a risk if the Red Devils want to hire Ten Hag. They will have to make Manchester United spend additional funds because Ten Hag is still under contract with Ajax Amsterdam. He still manages the Dutch giant until 2023. Thus, Manchester United have to pay some money to get his services.
