Which Disney/Pixar Films are YOU saving?

Another viral tweet has Twitter users save Disney/Pixar films:

Here is a personal take!

Encanto (2021)

Encanto made all the buzz ever since it was released. ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ is probably the song of the year as it tops the charts. Moreover, the story and characters go beyond the Disney standards.

It may look just like another animated movie but it has various meanings and theories, with the film themes being family and intergenerational trauma. It’s a fantastic film that will change the course of Disney animated films for good.

Luca (2021)

Luca is a super cute, refreshing animation about two sea monsters trying to live normal human lives in a superb summer. Its closeness to The Shape of Water (dr. Guillermo del Toro) is what is interesting. It’s a fun little film at first but it is a queer kid story once you dwell into it.

Big Hero 6 (2014)

Everyone knows this classic film that will rip your heart out to pieces. It’s still as warm as the first day we all saw it when we were younger.

Brave (2012)

This personal take of putting Brave in this list is simple––mommy issues. This entire film is just a mother-daughter relationship taken to the next level. Lady Bird probably took notes from this film. (Kidding.) But it’s very cool that they actually made a princess say she will be competing for her own hand in marriage and then proceeded to outdo all her suitors. Thank you forever, Merida.

Tangled (2010)

Another super classic and one of the best animated films and the best Rapunzel film. There’s nothing else to it but a fun dynamic between the love interests. The soundtrack is absolutely beautiful and the animation as a 2010 movie? Amazing!

Which ones will YOU save? Let us know in the comments!
