Buzz Lightyear is back on the big screen. After being stranded on a dangerous planet, Buzz needs to find a way to get himself and his crew back home.
The highly anticipated origin story of the Toy Story character known as Buzz Lightyear has now hit the big screen in cinemas with Chris Evans being the voice of the space ranger. However, fans are eager to know whether the movie is coming to Disney Plus.
Yes, Lightyear will arrive on streaming service Disney Plus sometime this year to answer your question, and if past patterns are anything to go by, fans won’t have to wait long to see the space ranger in action from the comfort of their home.
As Lightyear is produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film will be added to Disney Plus’ catalog in due course.
Similar to how Disney distributes Marvel Studios’ films, all films belonging to the Marvel Cinematic Universe now have a guaranteed place in the streaming service’s catalog.
However, likely, the movie won’t be released on Disney plus till the end of July, considering the dates of the other movie that have been released onto the streaming service. The Eternals took 78 days after its release to stream on Disney plus. It took about 48 days for Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to be released on Disney plus after its cinema release.
Looking at the gap between the cinema release and Disney plus release, fans will be expecting to see Lightyear sometime at the end of July or potentially in early August.
