Long ago, Super Smash Bros. came into existence and has made a name for itself ever since. With the series coming to an end with Smash Ultimate‘s final DLC character, its legacy will live on through the many clones to come.
There was a period of time when multiple clones came out like Slap City, Rivals of Aether, and even Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion. Then, there was a pause until they started again. The recent clone has been Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and now Warner Bros. MultiVersus.
Yep, you heard it right! Warner Bros. is making its own Smash clone with all of its properties. They’ve even dropped the first trailer. It shows clips of different characters like Ultra Instinct Shaggy, Superman, Steven Universe, and Harley Quinn going at it.
It also seems to be team and friend focused. The game director talks mostly about 2V2 and online features, but there is also a place for solo players as well. They also confirm that there will listen to their fanbase and constantly update the game. Also, it’s free-to-play.
Compared to Nick All-Star Brawl, MultiVersus is looking a lot better. The animations are clean, they have voice lines on release, and there’ll be costumes. MultiVersus might be something good, like the next Brawlhalla, or as some people call it “The Smash Killer”.
