Valve Confirms Steam Sale Dates

If you’re familiar with the PC gaming scene, then you must have known about Steam sales. With games costing an arm and a leg now, it’s no wonder that everyone’s looking for the best deal they can get. However, you don’t really get to know when the next Steam sale will be, or do you?

When do Steam sales happen?

Throughout the year, Steam sales are a dime a dozen. Usually, users either just wait for the next one to come, or they resort to leaks to find out when the next Steam sale would be. Steam’s Seasonal sales happen regularly every year. They are the Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter sales. These are the ones people wait for the most because of the massive price drops.

So when are the next Steam sales?

In this post on Steamworks, Steam announced the dates of the next sales in 2021. Although this is unusual behavior, as Steam usually keeps their sales hush-hush, it is met with positive feedback by the community.

The next sale coming our way would be the Steam Halloween Sale, running from October 28th – November 1st. If you’ve got a horror game you’ve been itching to play, then keep your eyes out for this sale. Valve is also promoting games from other genres that are having halloween events, so look forward to that as well.

Then, it is closely followed by the Steam Autumn Sale, running from November 24th – November 30th. Usually you might get some good deals on indie titles during this sale, but you probably won’t get any new AAA titles on discount. However, older AAA games are still fair game, and you can still probably find something you’d like.

To end the year, we have the Winter Sale, beginning on December 22nd – January 5th. This is the one you need to look forward to. Usually, the Summer and Winter sales are where you can get the most bang for your buck, as even AAA games can get up to 50% off.

Although it was pretty unexpected for Valve to drop the dates like this, it is a pleasant surprise. We hope they’ll continue doing this in the future, so that everyone can get their hands on that one game they’ve always wanted but will never play.
