With some people still refusing to take the vaccines to fully defeat COVID-19, infectious disease expert shared from her experience what we know—and still don’t—about a vaccine for COVID-19 that can help shed light on its safety and efficacy.
Dr. Anne Gabriel-Chan, a physician, described from her experience how various COVID-19 vaccines give the same protection—showing images of the chest X-rays of four patients diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to the doctor, three of her four patients had mild to asymptomatic cases since they had been completely vaccinated with various vaccine brands ( Sinovac, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca.). She explained that those who had not been vaccinated got pneumonia, had trouble breathing, and had to be hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

These patients’ experiences demonstrate that vaccines, regardless of brand, work in minimizing to preventing severe COVID-19 symptoms. Getting vaccinated will protect others around you, especially those who are at higher risk.
“As we start to see a rise of COVID-19 cases again, I want to share some of our patients who were admitted just today. These are real patients and I speak from clinical experience,” she said.
