Trine Series, the Ultimate Platformer Puzzle, is Worth Playing.

 

If you want to play a challenging puzzle-platformer game with your friends, then Trine is the perfect game to delve into.

 

Trine is an action-adventure platform-puzzle game series developed by Frozenbyte and published by Nobilis. Set in the medieval fantasy era, you can play with up to 3 friends in this co-op as three different characters: a thief, a knight, and a wizard.

 

In this game, you and your friends have to work together and create flawless teamwork to defeat enemies and solve environmental puzzles.

 

The gameplay includes a health and energy meter for each character, where energy is used for different weapons and abilities, while the health meter shows your character’s health. Energy can be replenished from blue-colored bottles and health can be replenished by collecting heart-shaped containers from defeating enemies.

 

Trine released in 2019 is followed by a sequel, Trine 2 which was released in 2011. 2 years later, Trine: Enchanted was released in 2014 along with Trine 3: Artifacts of Power which was shortly released after one year in 2015. The fourth installment of the series titled Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince was released in 2019.

 

Although Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince still has similar gameplay and mechanics, the game is more refined with an option to play with 4 friends now and is more focused on physics puzzles.

 

The characters remain the same, with Amadeus the wizard who can conjure items (boxes, spheres, planks) and can move objects with telekinesis, Zoya the thief who can build, create, and attach anything with ropes, and lastly Pontius the Knight who can deflect projectiles with his shield.
