They have a caretaker who they called ‘Mama’. One day, Emma and Norman discovered the secrets that they shouldn’t have known about the orphanage and planned an escape from that orphanage.

The story revolves around the protagonist Makoto Naegi, a high school student who managed to attend a prestigious school named Hope’s Peak Highschool. The students were given titles for whoever are in a chosen field. However, when Makoto enters the school, he met a talking bear named Manokuma. Soon he learns that he and his classmates were trapped in the school until they managed to fulfill Manokuma’s demand, which is to kill another student without others knowing.

The story starts with a girl named Yuri Honjou who woke up and witnessed a masked person chopping off a man’s head with an ax. She realized that she is on top of a skyscraper with bridges connected to other skyscrapers. She has no choice but to run away from the masked murderers that try to kill her. When she found out that her brother is in this new world, she hopes that she could escape this new world with her brother.
