Hedgehogs have terrible eyesight!

After observing a hedgehog I raised at home, I came to realize that it has really short eyesight! Even at night, it has to use its nose as a navigator to detect the surroundings and its prey. Its vision is even worse during the daytime! So, if you want to play with it outside of its cage, please take care of the space not to have any sharp objects that can hurt your hedgehog.

2. Hedgehogs are not that friendly with their own kind!

Those hedgehogs should be raised alone because if you put more than two hedgehogs together in the same cage, the bloodshed could happen after that. They are animals that love to be isolated and live on their own, even in the wild. So, if you want to have more than one hedgehog, you should keep them separated.

3. They are such fearful animals!

Hedgehogs may take longer to be used by their owners because they have high self-protection and are afraid of everything! You have to give it some time to adjust to a new environment and owner.
