The Highly Anticipated Apple TV’s New Series “Pachinko” Will Finally Be Arriving Next Month

The first official trailer for Apple TV+’s forthcoming K-drama series Pachinko has been released.

Pachinko, which stars lots of world-famous actors and actresses, is a global project produced in English, Korean, and Japanese. Starting March 25, every Friday until April 29, each episode will be released on Apple TV+ for a total of eight episodes. The series Pachinko is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Min Jin Lee and will be produced and directed by  Kogonada and Justin Chon. Meanwhile, Soo Hugh will serve as a writer and executive producer as well as a showrunner.

Pachinko stars some South Korean and Japanese actors, including Lee Min Ho, Kim Min Ha, Youn Yuh Jung, Anna Sawai, Jung In Ji, Jin Ha, Soji Arai, Minami Kaho, Noh Sang Hyun, Han Jun Woo, Jung Eun Chae, Jimmi Simpson, Jeon Yoo Na, and more.

The movie synopsis

This drama is about the journey of a Korean family who moved to Japan during the country’s occupation of a then unified Korea and their involvement in World War II. Pachinko tells the hopes and dreams of four generations of Korean immigrant families. The storyline starts from forbidden love and expands to war and peace between Japan and the United States.

In this drama, Lee Min Ho plays Koh Hansu who is described as a mysterious merchant who is involved in organized crime. Koh Hansu is a Korean man who was adopted by a rich Japanese family. Based on the novel, it is said that Hansu already has a wife in Japan. However, he meets Sunja (Kim Min Ha) in Korea and falls in love with her. He then uses his power to protect Sunja and her immigrant family.

Pachinko will be colored with a story of love, loss, victory, and revenge. In addition, the series also raises the issue of racism, as well as the story of war and peace between Korea, Japan, and America takes place in 1910, the beginning of the year when Korea was annexed by Japan, until the end of the 20th century.
