The Healthy Way to Consume Eggs

For a long time now, eggs have become an integral part of our meals, especially breakfast. Whether scrambled, poached, boiled, or fried, the breakfast of so many people around the world would not be complete without eggs. Apart from eggs being a tasty food, they are also a good source of essential nutrients like protein, selenium, and riboflavin.

Hence, many people have become afraid of indulging in this delightful and rich food, but the truth is that you shouldn’t be worried about consuming eggs regularly because, contrary to general opinion, eating eggs daily can help reduce the cholesterol level in the body.

Egg yolk has been proven to contain a substance called lecithin, which lowers the cholesterol level and so is effective against sclerosis. Eggs provide too many essential nutrients needed for the body to stay in good health to be swept aside. Besides, egg yolk does provide the cholesterol important for our mental development along with sulfur-containing amino acids and fatty acids that the brain needs for proper development and functioning of the brain.

Smart consumption of eggs is much better than totally cutting them off from the diet. For instance, it is much more beneficial if you eat half-boiled eggs than fried eggs since the essential nutrients are not lost that way. You already know that eggs are a great source of protein, and eating them half-boiled is a great way of preserving the nutrients that would have been lost from overcooking them. But are half-boiled eggs healthy?

Yes, half-boiled eggs are healthy for the body. Some people like to consume egg yolks raw because of the nutrients, but this is unhealthy and can cause food poisoning. Research has proven that eggs should be at least medium-cooked to prevent the risk of food poisoning. When eggs are half-boiled, they kill the stubborn bacteria present in the eggs and make them healthy to eat.

However, half-cooked eggs are not advisable for pregnant women or anyone who has a low immune system.
