‘The Flash’ first look on Ben Affleck’s Batman

Scenes starring Ben Affleck’s Batman are currently being shot, according to leaked set photos from Warner Bros. and DC Films’ The Flash.

The photos show a stunt double dressed as Batfleck with a Batfleck cowl and belt riding a Batcycle. It’s unclear whether the suit is a whole new design or one that is just being worn by the stunt performer.

In August 2020, Affleck’s Batman was confirmed for The Flash and it will be more than a cameo. Director Andy Muschietti noted at the time, “The interaction and relationship between Barry and Affleck’s Wayne will bring an emotional level that we haven’t seen before. It’s Barry’s movie, it’s Barry’s story, but their characters are more related than we think. They both lost their mothers to murder, and that’s one of the emotional vessels of the movie. That’s where the Affleck’s Batman kicks in.” director Andy Muschietti told Vanity Fair of Affleck’s “major part” in the film last year.

Of course, Affleck will not be the only Caped Crusader in the film; Michael Keaton, who played Batman in 1989 and 1992’s Batman Returns, will also reprise his role. Fans recently watched Keaton reprise his role as Bruce Wayne from Tim Burton’s Batman films, but this time as an older, wiser Bruce. We don’t know if Keaton will put on the Batsuit just yet, but we’ll keep a lookout for further filming footage.

Sasha Calle will play Supergirl, and Ezra Miller will reprise his role as Barry Allen.

The Flash races into theaters on Nov. 4, 2022.
