Korea’s geography and climate also had an effect on their food culture, for example, they learned to ferment a fish (Jeotgal- salted fermented fish) to preserve fish for a long period of time during the cold winters and hot summers. Korea’s historical periods also made a great impact on how Korean cuisine became better and better through its recipe, ingredients, and taste.
