Telegram Introduces a New Premium Plan with New Features and Pricing

Telegram has launched a new premium tier for its users, following the announcement that it had reached 700 million active users and had become one of the most downloaded apps in the world in 2022.

 

Telegram has introduced a new monthly subscription plan that provides more functionality for its users as its user base grows and the cost of running the service rises.

 

Telegram has been a fee-free and (mostly) ad-free messaging service for years, providing convenient and secure messaging without profiting from the data of its users.

 

A monthly subscription in the UK costs £4.99 at the time of the service’s launch. It costs $4.99 in the United States. It costs €5.49 per month in Europe.

 

All of the new Telegram Premium features are listed below:

 

• 4GB uploads: Until now, Telegram has only enabled users to share files up to 2GB in size. This restriction has been doubled to 4GB for Premium customers. Even on the free tier, such huge files can be downloaded.

 

•  Faster download speeds: Telegram Premium customers will benefit from the quickest download rates available by their network, in addition to a higher file sharing limit. Given the platform’s notoriously sluggish download rates, this is a great feature.

 

 

• More channels to follow: With Telegram Premium, you can follow up to 1000 channels, up from 500 in the free version. Similarly, you can store up to 10 stickers, pin up to 10 chats, reserve public links, pin up to 10 talks, get quick access to over 400 favorite GIFs, and pin up to 10 chats all of which are double the limit of the free tier.

 

• Longer bios: Subscribers can have longer bios and add links to them, as well as dynamic profile images. Premium users’ profile videos will also animate within the chat window and in the conversation list.

 

•  Transcribe voice message to text: Premium users can transcribe voice messages given to them into the text if they don’t want to listen to the message.

 

• Chat list configuration: You can customize Telegram to open a custom folder containing your favorite talks or unread messages instead of the default “All Chats” folder to better manage your chat list. Premium users can also archive and mute new discussions automatically.

 

• New stickers and reactions: Premium will provide you access to exclusive stickers with full-screen animations and over 10 new emoji reactions, allowing you to express yourself more effectively. The stickers will be changed every month.

 

• No ads: Premium users will receive a distinctive badge, as well as access to premium app icons and ad-free public channels.
