Tecno Mobile has quietly announced the presence of its newest smartphone, the Tecno Spark 8P. This phone comes in four color variants: Turquoise Cyan, Iris Purple, Atlanta Blue, and Cocoa Gold.
The Tecno Spark 8P features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD + resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and is supported by a 90 Hz refresh rate. A fairly thick bezel surrounds the screen, and at the top, there is a notch as a place to place the 8 MP selfie camera.
There is a unique camera module on the back that is practically similar to the Poco M3 or Oppo K9 Pro. Yes, Tecno designed this smartphone camera module to elongate so that it meets the back. In this module, there are three cameras with a 50 MP main sensor and one LED flash.
The MediaTek Helio G70 SoC chipset powers the Tecno Spark 8P with 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. As for making it fire, the company has embedded a 5,000 mAh battery supporting the 10W fast charging feature.
This smartphone runs on Android 11 out of the box. Its features include a fingerprint sensor on the side, dual SIM support with 4G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The price and availability have not been revealed, but the price tag of the successor smartphone Tecno Spark 7P will likely be under 210 USD.
On the other hand, the brand under the auspices of Transsion Holdings has released the Tecno Camon 18 and 18P, 18 Premier. One of the three smartphones has appeared on the TKDN site.
The Tecno Camon 18 and 18P are powered by the Helio G88 and Helio G96 SoCs, respectively, where the Camon 18 arrives in 4GB/128GB memory variants, while the Camon 18P comes in 8GB/128GB options.
Apart from some of the above specifications, the others do not experience any difference at all. The operating system it uses is HIOS 8.0 based on Android 11 and has a body size of 168.9 x 76.7 x 8.8 mm.
Both the Camon 18 and 18P are available in Dusk Gray, Ceramic White, and Iris Purple colors. Unlike the two ‘sisters’, Camon 18 Premier offers higher specs, where the screen already uses an AMOLED FHD + panel with a 6.7-inch diagonal and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The chipset is the same as the Camon 18P, which uses the Helio G96 SoC with a combination of 8 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM. The battery is trimmed to 4,750 mAh with support for the 33W fast charging feature.
This smartphone has three rear cameras with a 64 MP main camera supported by gimbal-stabilized. There is an 8 MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom capability, and the last is a 12 MP ultrawide camera.
The front camera also has a resolution that is 2x larger than its two younger siblings, which is 32 MP. Tecno Camon 18 Premier has a body measuring 163.8 x 75.9 x 8.2 mm wrapped in two color variants, namely Polar Night and Vast Sky. Tecno Camon 18 is priced at 190 USD, for the Camon 18P might be the same. Tecno Camon 18 Premier cost 406 USD.
