The Baba Yaga is back and ready for action.
Fans of Keanu Reeves’ action franchise John Wick are rejoicing as the teaser trailer for the fourth installment was revealed at the 2022 San Diego Comic Con. Reeves made a surprise appearance during a directing panel which included John Wick franchise director Chad Stahelski. Stahelski, a long-time colleague of Reeves had previously worked with the actor as his Stunt double in “The Matrix” franchise.
The pair presented the teaser trailer for the fourth installment, currently titled “John Wick” along with a first-look image of Wick who appears to be praying while surrounded by candles.
John Wick 4 will pick up after John Wick: Chapter 3, which ended on a cliffhanger which saw Wick being gravely injured by Winston, played by Ian McShane. Wick decides to team up with the Bowery King, played by Laurence Fishburne to take down the High Table.
Originally slated for a May 2022 release, the film has been delayed to March 24 2023. The film will also see the return of Winston played by Ian McShane and Charon played by Lance Reddick. The film also marks action star Donnie Yen’s first appearance in the franchise alongside Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Scott Adkins, Clancy Brown, and Bill Skarsgård.
