‘Sweet Tooth’ Season 2 is Officially Renewed on Netflix

Sweet Tooth, the family adventure DC series executively produced by Robert Downy Jr., has been renewed for a second season on Netflix.

On July 29, 2021, Netflix tweeted: “it’s official!! Sweet Tooth is returning for Season 2, and the cast finding out is probably the sweetest thing you’ll see today.”

The creator, Jim Mickle, is overjoyed to be extending their collaboration with Netflix and continuing to follow Gus and his companions on their remarkable adventure.

“It’s been equally amazing and wonderful to see how people all across the world have fallen in love with our deer-boy,” he said.

The cast is yet to be officially announced, still, we could guess Sweet Tooth Season 2 is likely to bring stars Nonso Anozie, Christian Convery, Adeel Akhtar, and Stefania LaVie Owen.

The series, which will return for another eight-part run follows the adventure of Gus (Christian Convery), a half-human half- deer who leaves his forest home to discover the outer world has been devastated by a cataclysmic disaster. He joins a motley crew of humans and animal-child hybrids in pursuit of information about this strange new planet and the mystery surrounding his mixed origins.

The series was also forced to halt production due mainly to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has allowed for reminders of parallels between “The Great Crumble”.

The first season of the series is full of enchantment and wonder; it’s a passionate fairy tale anchored in high-stakes human emotion.  In my opinion, this is a top-tier Netflix original series, which is why many fans are anticipating its release date.
