If desired, Sumo (Software Update Monitor) checks all programs installed on your computer and notifies you when new versions are available. This way you are always up to date. After starting the program for the first time, run an analysis of your computer so that Sumo can find all installed programs. Sumo recognizes more than 90,000 programs, including both freeware and shareware.

You then check that they are up-to-date and Sumo will inform you about the status of your programmes. If you need the result for other purposes, export the program list as a text file or as a list. Let the Software Update Monitor regularly check your computer or use it to look for updates for individual installed programs. It is also possible to simply drag the exe file into the program window and the version will be checked. If you want to exclude certain software from the check, select “Ignore” and the currentness of this software will not be checked. If there is an update for one of your programs, you must download the update yourself. Sumo only offers further links to its own homepage. Sumo is available in many different languages and can be freely configured. This is how you set in the options whether the tool should be started when the system starts.
