Summer Lipstick Recommendations

 

Makeup and hot weather don’t pair nicely together. Sweating and humidity make it uncomfortable to wear and apply makeup! This is why lipstick is one of my favourite summer makeup products. I skip face makeup and tend to lean into my eyes and lips. Fake eyelashes and lipstick are my go-to summer routine, as it gives my skin a breather and lets it soak in the sun, but still, look put-together!

 

Here are some of my favourite lipsticks, with a variety of formulas and finishes!

 

 

Kylie Cosmetics- Bunny

If you like liquid lipsticks, Kylie lip kits are still some of the best on the market! Whilst she’s had her share of scandals regarding lip kits, Kylie has nailed her formula. You only need one coat of her liquid lipsticks and it stays put all day! It only needs a little touch-up after eating a big meal, and I don’t find it flakes or gets crusty. Bunny is a really beautiful light pink shade, it’s not too bright or tacky and has rose undertones for a beautiful spring/summer vibe.

 

 

MAC Velvet Teddy 

If you’re a lipstick lover, you’ll have heard of and probably tried Velvet Teddy. It’s a nude matte lipstick that’s creamy to apply and has slight pink undertones. It’s subtle yet bold and comfortable on the lips. I also like to pair it with lip gloss for a more dramatic look! 

 

 

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb

Fenty’s Gloss Bomb is a lip gloss you need in your makeup bag! I love the shade, Fenty Glow. It has orange undertones and goes amazing on top of nude lipsticks, such as Velvet Teddy. It also looks gorgeous on its own and makes your lips look plumper and kissable.

 

 

Dior Addict Lip Glow

Dior Addict Lip Glow is a tinted lip balm with a variety of shades for natural but still noticeable colour. Cherry red lips are beautiful for the summer, and I think red-tinted lip glosses are perfect for achieving this look. The shade 008 is a natural red colour and helps to hydrate your lips whilst looking beautiful. If you like subtler colours, I also love 012, which is a pink your-lips-but-better shade.
