Storyline or Graphics?

Have you ever played a high-resolution game? Or another game with a compelling storyline? Or have you tried them both? How does it feel? Do you feel satisfied or disappointed? These perspectives will, of course, differ for each player. Even if the game lacks a rich storyline, some players will prefer the graphics. Even if the game does not have good graphics, the other players will prefer storylines. The video game is a medium through which people can do things. The best games understand how to take advantage of these factors.

When a game industry company publishes the new-released game trailer, the players will focus on the storylines rather than the graphics. Along the way, they will start to comment on the graphics whether it suits the game or it is just only another unnecessary addition to the game.

I will take the FIFA franchise as an example. EA focuses on the graphics and the enhancement of the player graphics and adds some changes in the gameplay. But, in the previous edition, there are many bugs that are found by the online player whether it is in a gaming console or PC. I’m not sure if EA notices this or just ignores it, but the graphics are outstanding. The player’s face is unmistakably similar to the game character’s. Even so, the gameplay hasn’t changed nearly as much as the graphics. Even though they are aware of these facts, some players continue to purchase it.

As for the storylines, I like Uncharted and Far Cry franchises. They offer a unique storyline that is not provided in the game with the same genre. Uncharted focuses on treasure recovery along with friends’ betrayal and family legacy so the next generation will not have suffered like the previous one. The graphics, in my opinion, are amazing in some ways, and PlayStation has a way to improve the graphics as well. The Far Cry franchises are also the same. Some franchises already provide revolution gameplay to liberate people from tyrants; this concept is also used in Far Cry Primal, but in a different setting.

Don’t forget about Assassin Creed franchises. This franchise has had a multi-level storyline since its inception. The progression from one game to the next is also quite noticeable. The setting, characters, and storylines are even the same in theme, but bugs have been discovered in this game. Well, I know the developer is working hard to fix these issues and provide entertainment in the form of DLC and other interesting items that can be used in the game.

In the end, the decision is yours. You can select a game with outstanding graphics or a compelling storyline. Everyone has their own preferences. Furthermore, each developer has their own approach to resolving the issue and providing a significant improvement. We, or even I, as players can only hope that all games can be played on our console without interruption.
