Stardew Valley Meets Spirited Away: You Have to Play ‘Spirittea’

 

Spirittea is an upcoming RPG indie game is set to release this 2022 where you, a human drank the Spirittea and gained the ability to look at troublemaking spirits.

 

Developed by Cheesemaster Games and crowdfunded through Kickstarter back in 2020, the game centers around you – a writer – who moved into a small town to hopefully aid you in finishing your book with the new change of scenery.

 

 

After drinking the Spirittea, you can now peek into the spirit world – inhabited by troublemaking spirits that are angry as humans no longer worshipped spirits.

 

Now, you have to re-open the abandoned bathhouse to help hopefully subside the anger still resting in the spirits. The theme of this game resembles Spirited Away, a Studio Ghibli film where the main character gets trapped in the spirit world and must work in a bathhouse.

 

 

If you’ve played Stardew Valley before, you’ll also find comfort in this game with the pixelated art style and relaxing gameplay.

 

You’ll get to rebuild the old bathhouse in the whimsical spirit world and do other tasks, including solving the spirit’s problems, befriending locals in the town, managing the bathhouse, and upgrading and decorating other parts of the bathhouse to make it more alive.

 

 

Of course, you get to customize your own character as it’s your own journey with your own choices. You can purchase cosmetics available to purchase at the local shops. Some items are even limited and only available for a limited time.

 

 

Spirittea also has a day and night cycle with four seasons (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) – allowing special festivals and events to happen during specific times.
