Keep delaying, Sony revealed another release date for Morbius.
When it’s almost time for its premiere, Morbius postpone the release again. Morbius was originally set for July 10th, 2020. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the release needs to be hold until 2022. Last year, Sony confirmed that Morbius will hit theaters on January 28th, 2022. Now in January, Sony announced that fans need to wait 3 months away.
After being postponed nearly for two years, Morbius will hit theaters later on April 1st, hope it’s not an April Fools thing. The rumor said the increasing of Omicron cases cause the postponement of Morbius’s premiere. What makes fans impatient is the fact that the film is complete and just wait the right time to be released.
Starring Jared Leto, Morbius follows Michael Morbius, a biochemist who has a rare blood disease within him. He tends to cure the disease with some kind of experiment. When the experiment goes wrong, he turns into a vampire-like creature unintentionally. Morbius will be the second of Spidey’s villains who got a solo movie after Venom.
Morbius is also said to be the spin-off of Spider-Man verse, with a little easter egg in the trailer, there is a poster of Spider-Man with the title “murder.” Even Michael Keaton’s Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming is featured in Morbius. This makes an assumption that Morbius, somehow, in line with MCU.
With assumptions and theories on the internet about Morbius, fans have become more impatient because they need to find out in the movie. Unfortunately, we need to be more patient to wait until April. Hopefully, the situation is cooling down and Morbius could premiere soon without any more reschedule.
