Some New Features Coming to MIUI 13

Xiaomi introduced their newest interface, MIUI 13. Alongside with the launching of the Xiaomi 12 series mobile phone, there are some feature updates in MIUI 13.

MIUI 13 will improve the management of apps so the device can run more steadily whenever opening or closing an application. Additionally, the new MIUI 13 will also present a glamorous appearance interface.

Tablet devices of Xiaomi will also get the improvements from MIUI 13. There is a specific version of MIUI 13 for tablet devices, and it is called MIUI 13 Pad. This concept same as the Poco phone, which has its own specific version (MIUI for Poco).

MIUI 13 start to be discharged at the end of January this year in China, after that followed by other countries. Xiaomi 12 series will be the first mobile phone who got updates.

Mi 11 series also gets the updates of MIUI 13 alongside Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro that will behave updates for MIUI 13 Pad.

Here are some predicted features on the new MIUI 13 :

Dynamic Widgets 

The improvements of widgets in MIUI 13 will be similar to iOS 14 and iOS 15, so we can customize the widgets if there’s an option for dynamic widgets. Some of the apps with a dynamic widget can be customized and resized on the screen, such as calendar apps, reminders, and much more.

Live wallpapers 

Live Wallpaper updates will be huge because MIUI 13 will provide some default images using 8K time-lapse photography technique and also with a polarized microscope that is usually used for observing small particles of crystals.

MiSans Font 

MIUI 13 also brought a new font design called MiSans. The font is designed for English and Chinese to make reading more comfortable and clearer. MiSans also featured with OpenType, so the size of punctuation marks which will automatically change if the font size also changes.

Improved security support 

In MIUI 13, there will also be some useful new features to improve security. Some of the features are watermark protection, verification protection, and cybercrime protection.

For verification protection scans, scan not only the face but also the upper body. The users also can add a watermark before sharing the images.

Improved app management 

MIUI 13 will provide a lighter and smoother experience when opening applications, this feature has been tried in the previous MIUI version, namely MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition. But in MIUI 13 updates, these features will be improved.

In the app management sector, MIUI 13 improves the speed of default apps that is 20-26 percent more smooth, and for 3rd party apps, it will increase 15-52 percent.

Interface upgrades are also displayed in Xiaomi tablet items that utilize a widescreen with MIUI 13 Pad. This includes permitting clients to open different application windows at one time. At that point, that application window can too be resized by the user.
