Simple Home Treatments for Toothaches

There are many different types of toothaches, ranging from minor achyness to excruciating throbbing pain in your jaw or teeth. The most common causes of toothaches are cavities, infections, exposed tooth roots, broken teeth, gum disease, loose fillings, and problems with the jaw joint.

Here are three at least highly effective home treatments that you should try:

• Pepper and Salt

When a tooth gets exceedingly sensitive, salt and pepper can be quite helpful since they both have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects.

1. To create a paste, combine equal parts of pepper and table salt with a few drops of water.
2. Directly apply the paste to the troubled tooth, and then let it sit for a while.
3. Do this every day for a few days.

• Garlic

Garlic use can also offer excellent toothache relief. Antibiotic and other therapeutic qualities of garlic make it a potent pain reliever.

• Onion

Put a slice of raw onion on the problematic tooth or gum if you are unable to chew it.
