SEVENTEEN’s The8 Test Positive for COVID-19

 

SEVENTEEN’s The8 tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday (07/03) after members Vernon, Hoshi, S.Coups, DK, and Seungkwan tested positive. 

 

A notice regarding The8’s status was posted on SEVENTEEN’s official Twitter (@pledis_17) on the same day, Monday (07/03). 


 

The information in the notice stated that previously, The8 tested negative on Saturday (05/03) but experienced mild symptoms such as a mild cough. After taking a PCR test on the same day, Saturday (05/03), he was confirmed positive on Monday (07/03) and is currently self-quarantining at home with no symptoms.

 

SEVENTEEN members excluding those who also tested positive in the past few weeks: S.Coups, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Vernon, Seungkwan, and DK all took test kits and tested negative for COVID-19 with no symptoms. 

 

The8 will not be participating in SEVENTEEN’s group activities and will be taking a temporary pause on his activities until further notice.

 

PLEDIS Entertainment will further comply with COVID-19 health and safety guidelines to ensure their artist’s health priority.

 

SEVENTEEN will also be having their 2022 SEVENTEEN 6th Fanmeeting “SEVENTEEN in CARATLAND” that will run for 3 days. 

 

In the announcement from PLEDIS Entertainment, the schedule of the fan meeting will be:

  • Friday (25/03) – 6PM (KST)
  • Saturday (26/03) – 6PM (KST)
  • Sunday (27/03) – 5PM (KST) + Online Streaming

 

The fan meeting that will be held both offline and online takes place in Seoul, in Jamsil Auxiliary Stadium. Fans were invited to vote between four of SEVENTEEN’s hit songs to be performed during the fan meet: among songs ‘Very Nice’, ‘Together’, ‘To You’, and ‘Smile Flower’ on the poll posted on SEVENTEEN’s official Twitter.
