‘See’ Season 2: Release Date and What You Need to Know So Far

It all started in the early twenty-first century where a virus destroys most parts of the human race. Centuries later, the survivors emerged not being able to see, and now the humans have found new ways to eat, move, and survive. The whole story takes place after a pair of twins are born, with the sight. The series follows the twins and Baba Voss (Jason Momoa), their adoptive father.

The hook of the series is two children with the ability to see are born into this world, and when word gets out, they become both feared and coveted. With everyone gunning for the twins, their surrogate father Baba Voss makes it his mission to protect them at any cost. However, by the end of Season 1, the twins were separated and a war was brewing that could change the characters’ world forever.

‘See’ has a passionate fan base eagerly awaiting the premiere of Season 2. Even though it didn’t have good critics, the ambitious series was praised for its inclusivity. The series includes several cast and crew members, with varying levels of visual impairment and were instrumental in crafting the epic drama’s unique world.

Release Date

The series premiered on November 1, 2019, and it has been renewed for a second season, unfortunately, the second season was temporarily delayed due to the pandemic. And the good news is the cast and crew members were able to finish the film safely.

According to Deadline, Apple TV+ has finally set the premiere date for the sophomore season 2 of ‘See’ on August 27, 2021, and has been renewed for a third season.

 

What you need to know so far

 

If you haven’t watched season 1, possible spoilers ahead! Here’s a quick recap of where we left off:

The Apple TV+ has been careful not to give any hints about what Season 2 will be about, but the Season 1 finale does hold a few clues, as does the exciting Season 2 trailer. By the end of Season 1, the twins’ biological father Jerlamarel (Joshua Henry) succeeded in splitting up Haniwa and Kofun, even though Baba Voss blinded him. That left Baba Voss and his son Kofun on the verge of setting out on a mission to get Haniwa back.

Meanwhile, the Queen (Sylvia Hoeks) and Maghra Kane (Hera Hilmar) are now officially working together, and the Witch Finder Army is under their control. As a result, the kingdom is sure to feel more destabilized than ever before heading into Season 2. With a war looming on the horizon, viewers should expect all of the characters to be on edge, which will only make things more perilous for Baba Voss as he searches for his missing daughter.

The ‘See’ fans have been patiently waiting for the series to continue, and now that production has wrapped, we should be getting answers to the show’s biggest action-adventure mysteries soon.
