“See How They Run,” starring Sam Rockwell, Saoirse Ronan, David Oyelowo, Adrien Brody, and Ruth Wilson, is set for wide theatrical release in 2022.
Joining the five actors are, Harris Dickinson (“Beach Rats”), Sian Clifford (“Fleabag”), Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (“The Queen’s Gambit”), Shirley Henderson (“Stan and Ollie”), Reece Shearsmith (“High-Rise”), Paul Chahidi (“Twelfth Night”), Pearl Chanda (“I May Destroy You”), Charlie Cooper (“Avenue 5”) and Pippa Bennett-Warner (“Harlots”).
The film “See How They Run” is set in 1950s London’s West End. It follows a corporation that is planning a film adaptation of a popular play, which comes to a halt when a key member of the production is murdered. The case is taken on by Rockwell, a world-weary inspector, and Ronan, his eager young rookie, who is pushed into a puzzling whodunit within the glamorously sordid theater underworld, investigating the unexplained homicide at their own risk.
Tom George (“This Country”) will make his directorial debut with “See How They Run.” The film will be produced by Searchlight and released in theaters in 2022. The original screenplay was written by Mark Chappell.
Produced by Damian Jones and Gina Carter, the film was shot earlier this year in historic London locales such as the Dominion Theatre on Tottenham Court Road, St. Martin’s Theatre in the West End, and the Old Vic Theatre in Waterloo.
“Making my debut feature with a company like Searchlight and this incredible cast has been a total dream,” George said. “I’m so excited to bring this thrilling, smart, funny murder mystery to audiences.”
