Russia is starting a space movie project

Recently, a Russian actor and film director was claimed to be working on a film project in space, more precisely in the International Space Station (ISS). Yulia Peresild, the Russian actor, and Klim Shipenko, the director, are expected to arrive at the International Space Station before SpaceX, a collaborative initiative involving Tom Cruise, NASA, and Elon Musk, which was revealed last year. This is alarming news for the rest of the globe, because it puts Russia one step ahead of the United States.

This is not the first time that Russia, once known as the Soviet Union, has defeated the United States in technological competition, particularly in the sphere of space. There are various contentious Soviet Union space programs that are alleged to outperform the United States in the two countries’ space program competition.

Reports are popping up related to arrival of the Peresild and the other crew members at the ISS to start 12 days filming a scene for a movie that called The Challenge. On their arrival, they were greeted by two Russians, a French, Japanese, and three NASA astronauts. The movie’s scenario is about a female surgeon dispatched to the ISS to save a cosmonaut. The rest of the story is still classified.

Peresild herself has a lot of experience in the world of film. In one of her movies, she played the main character in the film Battle of Sevastapol (2015), as Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a female sniper who is famous in the battle of Sevastapol.
