Recommendations: Animated Movies For The Soul

Want to escape somewhere animated but warm for your heart? We have got the list for you!

Luca (2021)

This Disney-Pixar was such a great summer film but you can even watch it right now! It tells a story about a couple of sea monster-boys who try to live a normal life as humans! The summer they spent together is filled with gelato, pasta and scooter rides. This was such a great film that will get you fond of these boys.

Soul (2020)

A rather touching and heartbreaking one. It tells a story about a man who finally got what he wanted but dies and becomes a soul sent to the Great After. Not wanting to go, he accidentally slips into the Great Before and helps an infant soul in order to return to Earth.

Anastasia (1997)

This is great if you’re feeling rather nostalgic! Who hasn’t seen this as a kid? It’s a sign that you should definitely rewatch this masterpiece.

Kubo and the Two Strings (2016)

A rather underrated stop-motion that really deserves recognition. Kubo, a young boy, must find and wear his deceased father’s legendary suit of armor in order to defeat an evil spirit that is never going to leave him alone. A very touching story and the production team should be applauded forever for this gorgeous film.

Wall-E (2008)

Another oldie that will spin your nostalgia wheel! Wall-E was truly ahead of its time, 2008 and talking about how careless humans might ruin our Earth. A truly mesmerizing, timeless piece.
