Porsche’s 718 Style Edition Stands Out With Retro Shade of Pink

Amidst the million shades of white, black and gray of most cars in traffic, Porsche offers a new variant to the 718 Boxster/Cayman named the Style Edition, and it’s sure to pop out from a monochrome traffic with a new shade of pink.

The gloss-black 20-inch rims are borrowed from the Boxster Spyder, with colored centers and matching black tailpipes; the latter of which is exclusive to this trim. You could go for a white finish on the wheels, which is arguably the better option. The striking purplish-pink color is Ruby Star Neo, a callback to the Rubystone Red/Ruby Star color that was available for the 964 Carrera RS.

Step in and you’ll see floor mats with chalk-colored stitching, illuminated door sills finished in stainless steel, the Porsche logo on the headrests, and a heated leather steering wheel. Heated seats, Apple CarPlay, cruise control, and Porsche’s Power Steering Plus are standard features. There’s also bi-xenon headlights, and an optional hood stripes/side decals package that matches with the black/white wheels.

It’s available for both the base Cayman and Boxster, which is powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged flat four, sending 296 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. Paired with a six-speed manual or a PDK seven-speed dual clutch transmission, it’s capable of a 0-60 mph time of 4.9 and 4.5 seconds respectively. Style Edition is quite the fitting name, with the trademark pink and white combo. Guaranteed to turn heads, not only with its performance.
