Gaming for PC is looking nice since all the highest-rated console exclusives are heading over to the platform.
This war has been going on for a long time. For years, the PC master race has sworn that their platform is better with the number of choices and accessibility they have. Because of that loyalty, they’ve been missing out on all the good console exclusives.
However, the war has been subsiding over the past few years. More exclusives are making their way to PC. It kind of makes sense since Microsoft owns Windows and Xbox.
Slowly, Microsoft has been adding Xbox exclusives to PC, like Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5. The Windows store even offers the Xbox Game Pass, which has hundreds of games for a monthly fee.
Sony has also been coming around. They first released Horizon Zero Dawn on Steam in 2020, and it was over from there. They’ve added God of War and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves to the roster, but they haven’t come out yet. God of War will come first on January 14. Like Microsoft, they’re gifting the master race with their best games.
However, Nintendo remains to be stubborn when it comes to sharing their games. It’s a little hard to imagine Nintendo games on Steam, but I guess that’s why we have emulators. Yeah, third-party games have come to Steam like Octopath Traveller and Monster Hunter Rise, but those aren’t Nintendo exclusives like Mario or Zelda.
Overall, though, this is good for the games and players. Now, no one is left out. The wars are ending. We can all live in harmony now.
