Hollywood superstar Owen Wilson had allegedly tried to commit suicide in 2007. He unveiled the facts related to the harrowing incident and also revealed that his elder brother, Andrew helped him recuperate from depression.
Wilson had been admitted to Cedars-Sinai medical centre located in Los Angeles post the alleged suicide attempt, which had occurred at his home in Santa Monica. After recovering in good health, the actor credited his recovery to his elder brother Andrew, and Luke who called the emergency services and looked after him throughout.
The 52-year old also mentioned that Andrew accompanied him at his house all the time and helped him curate a manageable schedule for himself by aiding him with proper planning and ‘little schedules’.
Addressing the topic at length in an interview with Esquire, Wilson, who was reluctant to talk about the dark phase, further stated that being with Andrew every morning and writing little schedules gradually transformed his life from manageable to good, within a certain period of time. Owen also cast light on his present condition and informed that he is feeling good and grateful.
“I know everything in life goes up and down. When you get on one of these waves, you have to keep riding on it as long as possible. I am feeling pretty grateful”, Wilson said.
Wilson’s father passed away back in 2017, owing to Alzheimer’s disease. Wilson is currently resting at home, being cared for and accommodated by those who love him.
