Nurse Robots Are Soon to Become the New Face of the Medical World

The idea of a robot was something that was previously thought to be an idea out of a sci-fi movie. But now, with the help of some innovative geniuses and amazing engineers, a robot might be appearing in our lives sooner than we thought.

Grace, a robot humanoid nurse that was engineered to hopefully revolutionize healthcare. While this thought might be a little frightening to those who are still trying to catch up with the rest of modern medicine miracles, an advanced robotic system could help catch those little mistakes that slip through the cracks throughout the medical system.

Grace is designed with sensors, thermal cameras, and is designed to be a companion to patients. This humanoid nurse is able to speak three languages; English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, but more than that she is able to conduct talk therapy.

This humanoid that seems to come straight out of a sci-fi, futuristic film is said to be the future of the medical world. By being able to conduct more thorough searches and symptoms of patients, Grace is thought to be a great leap towards a better medical care system.

Robots are not only coming to the medical world, but spreading among society that deems fit. For example, The Toyota Research Institute (TRI) has begun working on robots to help assist humans at home. By being able to do things such as loading the dishwasher and reaching out to machines around the house, these robots could become a daily assist in our everyday lives.

However, the thought comes to mind whenever robots become the topic, are human beings ready for such advanced technology or are doomed to become just like those dystopian, robot films we all love so much?
