Some smartphone vendors like Xiaomi and Samsung have implemented ads on its smartphones, and now Sony does the same.
Having the ads shown in a free service is acceptable because ads is the source of revenue. But, if the ads showed up in a stuff that we have to pay a lot of money to afford it, is totally unacceptable. Recently, Sony releases Xperia Pro-I that costs 1,800 USD and it has ads on it, thus it outrages its users. Probably future Sony smartphones will have ads on it.

u/sergiocastell in a Reddit post, complained about the ads that has been implemented on the new Sony Xperia Pro-I. However, u/sergiocastell found a solution that seemed to be the only solution for now – disabling Sony support app through ADB command.
Implementing ads on flagship phone is a big NO. This is due to the fact that users had to spend a significant amount of money in order to purchase the gadget. Regrettably, Sony simply followed the lead of other smartphone suppliers in implementing advertisements in order to generate additional cash through adverts on their smartphone.
