Nintendo released a financial report that confirms The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will still release in 2022.
During a presentation to an investor, Nintendo showed its schedule of releases for the year, and you know what was on it. Breath of the Wild 2 was on it, and Nintendo’s still pushing for a 2022 release date. Fans also noticed, though, that the game isn’t titled yet. It was just “The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Besides Zelda, there were a few other anticipated titles like Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3, and Advanced Wars. All of them are coming out in 2022, unless something happens to delay it. Metroid Prime 4, however, was listed as To Be Announced. So, it probably won’t come out in 2022, but a trailer might be out.
Everyone must be hyped after this confirmation. Out of the mentioned titles, Breath of the Wild probably has the most excitement around it. It also looks like the game will bring new environments, according to its trailer at the latest Nintendo Direct. Players will get to explore a huge, flying island and fly around in the sequel.
Nintendo has a lot of good games coming, and it already started 2022 off great with Pokemon Legends: Arceus. That game resembles Breath of the Wild a lot with its open world aspect. It looks like Nintendo is diving more into that genre of games. Only good things are to come. And hope it doesn’t just end here, with a lot of expectation from Nintendo this year.
