NCT 127 Vampire Forbidden Love Concept in “Favorite” Comeback MV

NCT 127’s the 3rd album repackage Favorite is out!

 

NCT 127 dropped their third repackaged album Favorite (Vampire) on October 25th, 2021, on various digital music platforms. The music video received over 16 million views on SMTOWN’s official YouTube account in just two days.

 

Previously, the album Sticker which was released on September 17th has sold more than 2 million copies and hit the “double million sellers” for the first time in just a week since the album was released.

 

The title track, Favorite (Vampire) is an R&B pop dance song characterized by an addictive whistle sound. It was written, composed, and arranged by SM’s in-house songwriter Kenzie, who has worked on NCT 127’s song – Punch. The vampire-themed music video sees NCT 127 members’ visuals on a dark and sexy vibe. 

 

As predicted by fans, Favorite (Vampire) has a vampire concept as they sing about forbidden love and immortality. The lyrics depict forbidden love in the form of someone who loves a girl and is willing to make a sacrifice for her, despite the fact that it puts their life in danger.

 

“Loving you is incomplete and dangerous. Even if I stumble and go crazy in hatred. I love you and love you. I want to hurt even more desperately in this destiny”. They don’t mind being in a dangerous situation for wanting a girl they love.

 

The storyline follows they paid the price of loving someone they should never love like “In this disastrous night, I take the price for wanting you”. 

 

In their third repackaged album, Favorite was released with a total of 14 tracklists, including three new songs – Favorite (Vampire), Love On The Floor, and Pilot that were not released on the album Sticker.
