McDonald’s Brings Back Its Holiday Pie This Season

Only in selected regions, get your Holiday Pie now in McDonald’s

We are already on the holiday season. Have you gotten your treats for this season? If you are still looking for a seasonal treat, this dessert from McD may be the best for your holiday. This December, McDonald’s brings back the holiday pie to its seasonal menu.

Unlike the previous or current pie menu in McD, holiday pie is topped with white glaze and some colorful sprinkles to indicate the holiday festivity. The pastry is filled with vanilla custard, a perfect treat for your hot cocoa companion to sweeten your holiday.

This limited-edition pie is only available in selected locations around the United States. McDonald’s has declined which chains specifically, but according to Kron4, the Twitter activity spotted holiday pie tweets from corners of the country, such as Texas, Oregon, Ohio, California, Illinois, New York, and parts of New England. The offering will be available until early next January.

Holiday pie is referred to as the rarest item in McDonald’s. The first release was in 1999 as part of promotional packaging advertising the release of “Toy Story 2.” Since then, the pie has never appeared in a decade until it came this December. Will this be the last chance for us to taste McDs holiday pie? I hope not.

Aside from Holiday Pie, McDonald’s collaborates with celebrity Mariah Carey. The chains will offer selected free items and free merchandise for a $1 minimum payment on McDonald’s Mobile Order & Pay starting from December 13th. Only the first approximately 10,000 will get the free shirt on December 21st.
