The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been expanding its reach for more than ten years now. With movies that feature characters from all over the world and even across the galaxy, Now, with Marvel’s first Asian-led film soon to hit theaters across the country, fans have mixed responses to the character whom only a few fans recognize.
The character Shang-Chi was first featured in the 1973 Marvel comic and has since been recognized by many hardcore Marvel comic fans. However, the MCU has pulled in many viewers, a lot of whom have not yet been introduced to the comics. But something tells me that the newest addition to the Marvel family is sure to shock and amaze Marvel fans from all over the world.
By bringing in a surprising hidden addition to the MCU, Marvel expands its reach by providing more Asian representation that adds wonderful diversity and promotes inclusivity to the theater.
With amazing action-packed martial arts scenes, family drama, stunning visuals, and perhaps a twinge of romance, “Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings,” might just be the movie to bring Marvel into its latest era.
