J&T Cargo Plans to Expand to Malaysia in 2022

J&T Cargo opens up opportunities for collaboration through cargo logistics partnerships to more widely reach shipments to all regions in Indonesia starting at the end of this year.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of J&T Cargo Jonathan said, after Indonesia, the company plans to have a similar expansion to Malaysia in 2022.

“Indonesia is the first planning and launch for J&T Cargo. Early next year, we plan to target Malaysia,” he said at a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday (16/12/2021).

Jonathan explained, technically to maintain consistency in the convenience of transacting in the country, additional services are available, namely insurance, secure packaging, and later there will be warehouse services, Cash On Delivery (COD), and delivery at a certain time.

“Services with a Service Level Agreement (SLA) are fast and efficient, J&T Cargo provides a partner experience using a structured digitization system. Supports the progress of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) at the beginning of their business at a more affordable cost,” he said.

In terms of business opportunities, he assessed that the Logistics industry in Indonesia is growing very fast, it is noted that currently J&T Cargo already has a total of

1,600 outlets and 90 percent are from partners.

The company develops market segmentation business to business (B2B), business to consumer (B2C), and retail in order to expand coverage and increase business value so that it continues to grow.

In the future, the company also plans to cooperate with e-commerce platforms and factory manufacturers in Indonesia.

“With that, we can support online and offline businesses simultaneously. Putting forward a smart logistics system that integrates and manages all packages online,” concluded Jonathan.

J&T Cargo as a shipping service company that focuses on sending packages with large sizes and volumes, opens up business opportunities for the community.

The cooperation opportunity is through cargo logistics partnerships to reach shipments to all regions in Indonesia more broadly.

He explained that J&T Cargo’s commitment to open partnership opportunities for the community and to build a sustainable ecosystem.

“Most of the partners have participated in applying cargo delivery with J&T Cargo services,” he said.

Meanwhile, Jonathan added, until the end of this year the development of the J&T Cargo business was fairly successful, shipments continued to rise.

“Now we have 38 gateways with a capacity of more than 2000 tons per day and a fleet of more than 500 units,” he concluded.
