The Gateway is an upcoming American crime thriller film directed by Michele Civetta and written by Alexander Felixand. Shea Whigham as Parker, Olivia Munn as Dahlia, Frank Grillo, Zach Avery as Mike, Bruce Dern, Keith David, Taryn Manning, Mark Boone Junior, Taegen Burns as Ashley, Alexander Wraith as Louis, and others star.
Shea Whigham and Frank Grillo have both appeared in a number of B-movie roles throughout the course of their careers. In the new crime thriller, The Gateway, they’re going to square off in a roundabout way.
Here is a brief synopsis of the narrative of the film “The Gateway.”
Shea Whigham portrays a stern social worker with a tumultuous history. Instead of allowing this to send him into a downward spiral, he’s utilizing his terrible past to do some good by attempting to save youngsters from problematic families from experiencing the same problems he couldn’t avoid. While assisting one of his clients (Olivia Munn) in keeping her daughter, he is pushed into a confrontation with her husband, who has recently been released from prison and is out to avenge his drug-dealing employer (Frank Grillo).
To be honest, it doesn’t look half terrible, but it still has that straightforward feeling to it. Perhaps it’s just because there aren’t any famous actors in the leading parts. If this were to be shown at a film festival, it may generate more interest, particularly given how much film critics tend to admire Shea Whigham as a leading man. He gets to shine in a major role here, even though it looks like a role Liam Neeson should be portraying at this point in his career.
This is a must-see for anybody interested in action, crime, or thrillers. This film is classified r.
The Gateway will be released in select cinemas and on VOD on September 3, 2021, and will be available digitally, on Blu-ray, and on DVD on September 7th.
