Indonesian Production Car “Hyundai Creta” Will Be Exported

PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) officially launched Hyundai Creta since November 2021. This car began to be produced on January 17, 2022. The production was carried out at the Hyundai factory in Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java. It is stated that the factory that recently operates has a production capacity of up to 150,000 units per year.

Makmur, PT HMID Chief Operating Officer, said that the Hyundai factory was not only for domestic. But, also has an Asia Pacific region here.

“There is no export, but everything has been prepared in the direction. I have not been able to open, because each country has a strategy for when they will start communication,” Makmur said, to reporters, when met at the Hyundai factory on Thursday (1/13 / 2022). Makmur added, for export, he did not want to talk directly about the destination country. Because, this is related to related countries.

Erwin Djajadiputra, Director of Sales of PT HMID, said that the Hyundai factory in Cikarang was a production base for Creta.

“So, of course, export is certain. To go to it, depending on which country the strategy matches this export,” said Erwin. Launching, Saturday (8/1/2022), Hyundai Creta will be on the Bangkok Motor Show 2022 automotive exhibition which was held from March 23 to April 3, 2022. Most likely one of the destination countries for the export of Hyundai Creta is Thailand.

Testing Session

The engine is very responsive, to reach 80 kilometers per hour it doesn’t take long with Sport driving mode. Braking is also optimal, because it uses disc brakes at the front and rear.

For the suspension, unfortunately can not be explored more optimally. Because, in the test session this time, the car only passed the highway with road conditions that were not too damaged or had holes. However, for the first impression, the suspension feels soft enough to drive in urban areas.
