How to get the Gamora skin for Fortnite and compete in the Gamora Cup

Epic Games has confirmed that Star-Lord will be joining another Guardians of the Galaxy favorite, Gamora, in the Fortnite Item Shop, following reports that he would be returning.

Marvel is definitely the frontrunner among the various pop culture brands that have spilled over to Fortnite, with over 20 heroes such as Black Panther, Iron Man, and Black Widow having debuted as skins thus far.

Following a little hiatus from Marvel crossovers, players will soon see another familiar face crash land on the island. This week, it’s Gamora from the Guardians of the Galaxy, who perfectly suits Season 7’s alien theme.

On August 9, 2021, Epic Games foreshadowed the advent of Gamora with a comic book still that was published on Twitter. They show the superhero getting a distress call informing her that “aliens are attacking” the island and that her assistance is required.

Cosmetics for Fortnite’s Gamora

The Gamora skin, like other crossover skins published in Fortnite, will be available for purchase in the Item Shop. The price has yet to be determined, but it is expected to be around 1,500 V-Bucks. There’s also a Gamora’s Cloack back bling, a Godslayer pickaxe, and a Godslayer Glideboard to go with the skin. They can be purchased separately or as part of the Gamora bundle.

When will the Gamora Fortnite skin be released?

The Gamora skin and cosmetics will be available in the Item Shop on August 14, 2021, at 5 p.m. PDT | 8 p.m. EDT | 1 a.m. BST (August 15), according to Epic Games. The Star-Lord will also make an appearance. Players will have an opportunity to win the Gamora skin sooner if they participate in the Gamora Cup.

In addition, Epic Games has announced that a Gamora Cup will be held in Fortnite on August 11, 2021, to commemorate the debut of the Guardians of the Galaxy figure on The Island. The Gamora skin and Gamora Cloak back bling will be awarded to the top-performing teams in each location. Plus, everybody who achieves at least 8 points will receive the Daughter of Thanos Spray.

To have a chance at winning, players must engage in up to 10 matches within a three-hour time period, and two-factor authentication must be enabled. Check your competitor page to discover when the Gamora Cup in your region begins.
