He’s All That

He’s all that is a 2021 American teen movie inspired by the 90’s original “She’s All That“ starred by the famous TikToker Addison Ray who plays the role of Padgett Sawyer a senior high Instagram influencer. Padgett gets betrayed by her fellow singer and influencer boyfriend Jordan Van Draanen and caught losing it on a live camera, Padgett the next day wakes up to a scandal which causes her to lose a follower on that act she loses sponsors as well. Padgett then seeks for a solution to gain those sponsors back that she accepts a challenge to turn the school’s least popular boy ‘Cameron Keweller’ into become the next prom king.

Personal review

The film is so predictable.. she ‘Padgett’ realizes that she lives in this fake little bubble and the end, she will be all-natural no make-up no glam, and influence ‘you don’t need any of that. The acting of the film is bold, you don’t see the characters engage with each other as there are no true raw reactions it’s just people reading lines, you don’t get to experience any emotions throughout the movie. Padgett who’s supposed to be the ‘mean famous girl that we see in every teen movie whom later transfer to be a better good person you don’t get to see that character development through Padgett as she’s already not a bad person which kills the fun in the movie. Overall the movie is boring and not well executed the only fun -not boring- character is Jordan Van Draanen.
