(G)I-DLE’s Miyeon Confirmed to Have Solo Debut

 

Miyeon announced to release a solo album at the end of April after 4 years of debut in an article posted on Naver this Wednesday, April 6.

 

Previously, Miyeon has collaborated on a project with virtual K-Pop group K/DA voicing the champion Ahri from the game League of Legends alongside Soyeon.

 

Although this will be her first solo debut, Miyeon has done solo projects, like her first solo for the South Korean drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed for the OST “My Destiny”.

 

Other than her singing career, Miyeon has ventured into the film industry by acting in several dramas.

 

Miyeon has landed numerous main roles in dramas, such as Yoo Ha-young in Replay: The Moment When It Starts Again, Park Ye-Kyung in Adult Trainee, and Kwak Doo-Shik in Delivery.

 

Miyeon, also known as Cho Miyeon is the main vocalist and visual of (G)I-DLE. Born on January 31, 1997, is the oldest member of the group at 25 years old.

 

Miyeon auditioned for YG Entertainment and became a trainee for 5 years, but then left YG Entertainment in early 2015.

 

In the early 2017s, Miyeon auditioned for CUBE Entertainment and became a trainee for around 11 months, and finally debuted as a member of (G)I-DLE on May 2, 2018.

 

Recently (G)I-DLE released their first full-length album I NEVER DIE on March 14, 2022 – without former member Soojin. The album has 8 songs with the title-track “TOMBOY”.

 

I NEVER DIE consists of 8 tracks: “TOMBOY”, “Never Stop Me”, “Villain Dies”, “Already”, “Polaroid”, “Escape”, “Liar”, and “My Bag”.
