Former Member Of BIGBANG ‘Seungri’ got convicted!

 

According to the reports. a military court sentenced disgraced former K-pop singer Seungri to three years in prison for arranging prostitution and other counts arising from a sex and drugs controversy.

Seungri, whose real name is Lee Seung-hyun, was at the focus of a wide-ranging sex and drug investigation. Numerous high-profile figures were engaged in the issue, including Seungri, who worked as a public relations director at the Burning Sun nightclub that swept the K-pop world in 2019.

This member of the prominent boyband BIGBANG, who fled showbiz as the controversy grew and eventually served in the military, was pleaded liable for all nine charges leveled against him. Purchase of prostitution services, prostitution mediation, embezzlement, violation of the Act on Aggravated Punishment, violation of the Food Sanitation Act, habitual gambling, violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, and other charges have been filed against Seungri.

Meanwhile, during the first hearing, Seungri acknowledged one of the eight charges leveled against him. Seungri’s team declared at the time, “We deny all charges except his breach of the Foreign Exchange Transition Act.” He further stated that the prostitution was the fault of his business partner and that he did not travel to the United States to gamble.

A few other artists, including soloist Jung Joon-young and FT Island’s Choi Jong-hoon, have been put in prison for sexual assaults and rape, while Yang Hyun-suk, the founder of BigBang’s management company, YG Entertainment, is also facing charges in linkage with the Burning Sun scandal and other alleged offenses.
