Some days you just can’t be bothered to even get out of bed. A quarter of those times are when you wake up and avoid doing anything more than waking up just because you don’t feel like it. It’s understandable, it’s human. But a lazy bum has got to eat too.
1. Bread
In any way, shape or form. Toast it, not toast it. Slap some jam and spread on it, or leave it plain as day, I won’t judge. If you do have more energy than that, scramble some eggs and make an egg sandwich. You can never go wrong with bread and the variety is countless.
2. Eggs
Eggs are also versatile. If you don’t have the arm to fry or scramble eggs, just plop them in a pan full of water and wait for 15 minutes, 10 if you prefer a runny yolk. Add salt and pepper to a small plate, dab the eggs on them and enjoy, or eat it whole. Make sure you don’t eat more than three eggs a day though.
3. Sweet Potatoes
Honestly, a regular potato is also fine but sweet potatoes are so much yummier. Steaming and baking them is the way to do it, and slice in the middle to chuck some butter on top. However, you can cut them up and turn them into fries and/ chips. Mashing them is also good if you feel like it.
4. Shakshuka
This one requires a lot more work than the other food items but it’s also easy to prepare. It’s just simmering tomatoes or pesto or any kind of herbs you want, onions, garlic, spices, and softly poached eggs. It’s hearty and nutritious.
