First Overall 99 Player for Madden NFL 22 Revealed

The first player to be inducted into the Overall 99 club has been announced as the release date for Madden NFL 22 approaches.

In Madden NFL 22, the maximum rating a player can receive is 99. The honor is only given to a select few players who are regarded as the very greatest in each position. Madden NFL 22’s first choice for a 99 overall player has been revealed.

While the cover of Madden NFL 22 deviates from tradition, choosing the 99 overall club will adhere to the same set of regulations. This means that just a small number of players will be chosen for the awards. To put things in perspective, only 6 players in Madden NFL 21 had a 99 overall rating.

The official Twitter account for Madden NFL 22 just published a video of Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams receiving his 99 overall rating. An unwitting Adams is playing a game of golf when he is handed a box containing a few congratulatory presents for the occasion. A hand-signed card from John Madden and a garish golden necklace with the number “99” on the pendant are included in the box. Despite having a fantastic season last year, fans should keep an eye on a few other wide receivers to see if they can join Adams in the 99 club.

Davante Adams began Madden NFL 21 as a 94 overall player, but he swiftly rose to the 99 club by nearly matching his career-high receiving yards and eclipsing his career-high touchdown record. Adams led the league with 18 touchdowns last season, while his 1374 receiving yards put him in seventh place among his peers.

Madden NFL 22 will be available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on August 20.
