Fallout Series Adaptation Gets Westworld Director

I’m pretty sure I didn’t talk about this one, but we have another live action adaptation, ladies and gentleman.

Amazon Prime Video is making a TV adaptation of Fallout, and they just got a director for the first episode, Westworld co-creator Jonathan Nolan.

Actually, maybe I did write about this because I remember Amazon Studios partnering with Bethesda Game Studios back in July 2020. They haven’t started production yet, but they’ve got Nolan and Lisa Joy from Kilter Films to help on the project.

They also have Geneva Robertson-Dworet from Captain Marvel and Graham Wagner from Silicon Valley working on series.

“Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time,” Joy and Nolan said back in July 2020.

He also add :

“Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios.”

If you didn’t know, Fallout is a post-apocalyptic, retro-futuristic game series where a nuclear war destroyed the world in 2077. The games have different protagonists, but the player is usually shooting through bugs and people with role-playing aspects.

The series first started in 1997 with Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game. The company that published the game, Interplay, went through a lot until it fell into Bethesda’s hands. We don’t anything else about it, so let’s wait to see how creative they are compared to the games.
